Peatonal Florida

Florida pedestrian street stretches from Rivadavia Avenue (when it crosses Rivadavia it changes its name to Perú street, featuring two pedestrian blocks as well) and it runs up to Plaza General San Martín. It is known as the most important commercial street in Argentina.
Florida Street has several shopping arcades (galerías) among which we can find Galería Jardín, known for its numerous electronic shops and Galerías Pacífico, an outstanding shopping mall with a great number of tourist visitors.

The proximity to the downtown area of the city, its wideness and its river view makes of this neighborhood one of the most exclusive ones in Buenos Aires. In the past couple of years upscale residential towers have been built or are currently being developed and they will be among the most important towers in the country: Torres El Faro, Torres River View, Torres Le Parc Puerto Madero, Torres Mulieris (currently under construction), Torre Repsol-YPF– all of them are over 130 meters tall (426 ft). The Renoir Towers will be 171.3 meters high (561 ft).

TEATRO COLÓN

Teatro Colón

Owner of privileged acoustics, the famous Colón Theatre in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is one of the finest and most beautiful opera theatres in the world. Its development started in 1889. It was first designed by Francesco Tamburini and after his sudden death Victor Meano succeeded him and continued the project until 1904, year in which he died. The Belgium architect Jules Dormal completed his work.
It was opened in May 24, 1908 with a performance of Aida from Giuseppe Verdi. It is located across from Plaza Lavalle (San Nicolás) where the station of Buenos Aires Parque del Ferrocarril Oeste- head of the first railway line in Argentina- was located.

CAMINITO

Caminito, La Boca

Caminito is a ‘museum street” and a traditional narrow walkway of great cultural and touristic value located in La Boca neighborhood in the capital city of Buenos Aires. The place achieved cultural meaning as it inspired the music of the famous tango song Caminito (1926) composed by Juan de Dios Filiberto.
The walkway stretches from east to west, making up a 150 meter- curve cutting diagonally the square made up by Araoz de Madrid Street (to the north), Garibaldi (to the west), Magallanes (to the south) and Del Valle Iberlucea (to the east). Its shape follows the tracks of an old railway track that was later abandoned. In 1959 Caminito walkway officially became a “museum street”, fully pedestrian and named as "Caminito".

RECOLETA

Recoleta

Recoleta is a residential downtown neighborhood in Buenos Aires. It is an area of great historical and architectural interest and an important touristic and cultural focus. The Recoleta cemetery, the Cementerio de la Recoleta, is located here. It is one of the most exclusive and luxurious neighborhoods in the city, the square meter land value is among the most expensive in the city. The metro line D goes through the neighborhood, as well as the sketches of the future lines F and G.
